>>Planning to produce 1,000 pounds of cheese a month, artisanal cheesemaker sets up shop in Lebanon
If you wanted to have an unusual feature at your wedding, Costco has created a 24 lbs, 5 layer cake made ENTIRELY OF CHEESE!
"Comprised of gourmet cheeses sourced from around the world, the Cheese Lover Celebration Cake is a striking and delicious alternative to a classic centerpiece, cake, or cheese board," according to the Costco website. "Simply decorate with flowers, ribbons, or edible garnishes tailored to your own color scheme for an unforgettable addition to your next dining event."
The unusual crowd-pleaser costs about $450, where a traditional wedding cake can cost between $500-$1,000, and it feeds anywhere from 105-150 people, according to its website.
>>Crafted and Cured will offer TO-GO charcuterie boards
The cake features five different kinds of gourmet cheeses for each of its five layers including Red Leicester, Danish Blue, Murcia al Vino, Tuscan Sheep’s Cheese and Brillat Savarin Triple Cream Brie.
You can order it by following the link here, but due to the perishable nature of the product, it will not ship over the weekend and instead only ships on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday delivery.
>>Costco sells out of 27-lb. bucket of mac and cheese with a 20-year shelf life
The cheese will come separately and it will be up to you to refrigerate and assemble, by stacking the largest wheel on bottom and the smallest on top, before serving.
